I get very inspired by the many facets of our role on this planet, but mostly by the lives and actions of people whom I call 'human angels'... people whose life's mission is to help - on a small or large scale.
I received a touching email from Tani
a, a fabulous woman whose family was one of the many that lost their homes in the New Orleans area in 2005. Challenging life-changing situations such as Hurricane Katrina always serve as catalysts for us to develop faith, as well as essential qualities/virtues such as generosity, compassion…

I was in Los Angeles when the 7.7 earthquake hit in January 1994. I remember being so overwhelmed by the kindness and devotion of everyone wanting to help. The same happened when we experienced the ice storm in ’98 that struck eastern Canada and New England… (But of course it’s nothing compared to what happened in New Orleans - however these devastating events always make you want to be there for those in need; they bring out this part of yourself that just want to reach out to people and ask them "how can I help?"... and that is so beautiful about us humans).

One of my most favorite human angels is Ryan Hreljac. His story is so moving. 6-year-old Ryan is a little boy who raised the money for a well, then went on to raise funds for a drilling rig, and many more wells. In the process he developed a vision: a world where everyone has clean water. Ryan's own organization, the Ryan’s Well Foundation, has helped raise over $1 million in support of people in Africa who need clean water. The same goes for the four awesome lads from Extreme Kindness who also embarked on a very special journey. They went on to inspire and mobilize thousands to spread love and commit acts of community service all across North America.

Drew Barrymore (whom I had the chance to meet many years ago) is another human angel in her own special and adorable way. Gentle, simple, humble and friendly, she is inspiring others to just love and accept themselves exactly as they are. She's a beautiful role model. In person, Drew really is as adorable, pretty and genuine as the wonderful Josie Geller in “Never been kissed”! :o)

We're priviliged to be exposed to and surrounded by these wonderful friends and teachers... and they're all around us! His Holiness the XIVth Dalai Lama, Jack Layton (a remarkable canadian humanitarian and politician), Louise L. Hay (recently dubbed 'the closest thing to a living saint' by the Australian media - she founded Hay House in 1984 and was one of the first westerners to focus on the connection between mind and body - the fact that our thoughts affect our health and experience), the Kratt brothers, Wayne W. Dyer (affectionately called the father of motivation), Nicolas Hulot, Dr. Steven L. Hairfield, Paul Rodriguez, Dr. Marc F. Lieberman (who founded the Tibet Vision Project in 1995 in order to provide free eye care for the poor and needy in Lhasa), Luanne Oakes Ph.D., Doreen Virtue, Xavier Rudd (a multi-talented australian singer-songwriter who's doing an awesome job supporting and promoting the indigenous/aborigenous culture all over the world), Stephen Simon (who co-founded the Spiritual Cinema Circle), James Redfield (author of "The Celestine Prophecy", who along with his wife Sally founded the World Prayer Project - a huge network allowing thousands of people all over the world to pray simultaneously for more peace and love on Earth), Dr Masaru Emoto (who initiated the World Day to Send Love and Thanks to Water in 2003), Patrick Bernard (an exceptional being and a reference in mantra healing music who's been researching, teaching and guiding us through his remarkable and transcending albums, books, and workshops for over 20 years), Emmanuel Ofosu Yeboah (whose unique mission and challenging life helped change perceptions, conditions, and treatment of physically challenged people - as seen in the award-winning documentary Emmanuel’s Gift), Blake Mycoskie (who created Toms - a shoe line company which aims to combine fashion with a social conscience. For every pair purchased, Toms donates another to a child in need), Al Gore (whose longtime involvement in environmental issues (most notably global warming) has resulted in the riveting documentary An Inconvenient Truth, a must-see film - actually one of the most important documentaries of our times - that makes us ask ourselves: 'How do I want to spend my time on this planet?'... and 'How can I help?'). As it dealt with the way our actions can affect the planet, What the Bleep Do We Know!? (a very interesting movie who went on to become the fifth highest grossing documentary in the United States) explored the concept of the interconnectedness of all things and the inner-workings of the human brain - how our thoughts can actually affect our reality... Beautiful people... Amazing contributions!

I just can't wait to have the time to elaborate more on this topic. And that will be the main focus of the 'soul' section of my site in the months to come...

Being a big music lover, I like listening to any artist, any style of music from any era that brings me any sense of joy, fun or peace of mind… basically pretty much anything that can bring a smile to my face...

Day after day, year after year I become more and more aware of how vital it is to live in the now, to be appreciative... compassionate... how essential it is to make love and happiness the main goal in our life... bringing to life the part of our self that finds beauty and mystical wonder in all of life and nature.

I make it a personal mission to keep going, move on with life… and keep making music, which is my main passion and way to communicate in this life, and most importantly to infuse joy and beauty in my songs and lyrics in order to make my recordings something of an ode to life and life energy, also known as prana.

As someone personally practicing reiki and meditation on a daily basis, I try to write lyrics that are healing and helpful. Since the main purpose of me writing songs is just to ease the soul, bring hope and joy, I have termed/labeled my music zen pop. All the songs included on my cd's until now were penned during an on-going and interesting process of learning to develop love and compassion for myself and for everyone. As I keep growing and keep experimenting, I ’ll be coming up with exciting new melodies and lyrics to celebrate and share with you the success of the process.

The use of mantras will become more and more important in my audio contributions. I've always enjoyed indulging myself in their goodness while listening to them or chanting them. What is the worth of anything but for the happiness it will bring? :o) Since we must be the change we wish to see in the world, I'll simply keep doing my best in order to bring some more love, light, and peace... Life is too short to be unhappy. Let's talk about happiness, and ways to find it, feel it, share it, enjoy it... but most of all let's be it. May we all live in peace and harmony.

Love. Unity. Respect. Forgiveness. Joy. Tolerance. Patience. Compassion. Appreciation. Awakening. Ascension. Evolution. Hope. Harmony. Happiness. Bliss.
